Info for knitters at PETA

I send an email to PETA (the people that did that terrifying video) and look what they did:

info for knitters.
Also, they inform that
"Currently there is no label that guarantees mulesing free yarn, except for labels that indicate the material is one of the many natural and synthetic alternatives to wool that are available today."

Why the heck not? Somebody!!!

I think vegan knitting is a way to go, but hey, it is possible to get the wool of these sheep without hurting them! I just want to know whether it is done that way. Lola said that people are shocked at the prices for locally produced, mulesing free wool. The thing is that they probably do not know that they are buying animal-welfare on top of quality yarn. I'll pay that price in the future.

Doesn't this seem like a market that is just ready to explode? I wonder how many sheepherders are actually not doing mulesing but just aren't marketing it as such? Beaverslide Wool says that their sheep are kept under wholesome and humane conditions, and i do not find their wool to be THAT expensive. They are almost local for me, and i love their yarn.
