Irie dreadlock hat
Is this an ordinary hat?
well, is it?
No it's not! It's my irie dreadlock hat! I made it up, and then I made it! The 100% wool yarn is dyed with foodcolour (dr. Oetker), the dreads are partly knitted by my fabulous daughter on her fingers (the so-called 'fingerknitting'), partly crocheted by me and felted in the washing machine. The hat is constructed so that there is room (a reservoir) for the dreads to be attached in - this also makes them 'stand up' when wearing the hat so they fall nicely.
Now this picture is a picture that does not do the hat justice. You have to see it on to appriciate the Irieness of it. Bonus: You get to see me.

Ik vind het echt een GEWELDIGE muts! En volgens mij zouden vele van mijn studenten er een moord voor doen.....Helemaal goed!
