Christmas gift
In Denmark, Christmas starts at December 1st. I embrace the traditions here - so much more abundant than in my home country. But nobody can take away Sinterklaas, so we're celebrating that too - and get gifts twice in December! One of the advantages of being a multicultural family.
One gift at least this year will be handmade. Knitty lovers will recognize this as a smaller version of Calorymetry - it is for my eldest daughter, a very practical garment for under a bicycle helmet. Therefore, the flower is detacheable by way of a button in the back. My little twist.
Yarn: inherited, handdyed with food colouring (headscarf) and thrifted, handspun, handdyed with Koolaid (flower). 100% wool.

Fijn dat jullie daar nog steeds Sinterklaas vieren!
Maar ik begin ook nu met Kerstmis, het is namelijk vandaag eerste adventsdag, dus Jozef en Maria zijn op weg.
That looks really pretty. I want to start christmas as well, really love christmas, but it's sinterklaas here first, so I have to wait a little bit. (disadvantage from still living at your parents place)
Idd advent op de ene swizonetafel, sinterklaas op de anderen. The best of both worlds. Wat een prachtig cadeau en nog mooiere kleuren!

Is Sinterklaas on the 6th? Do you celebrate on the 24th (or 25th) as well?
I have a very warm place in my heart for St Nikolas Day. No one around me celebrates it, but it is the day of my own celebration.
it doesn't start until 1 december? wow. my neighbours started decorating their windows mid october.
but never until after sinterklaas will i start doing chirstmassy things. long live sinterklaas!
Antwoord op je vraag waar het tweede boletje was: Ik heb de streng opgewonden met 2 draden, dus nu heb ik maar een bol van waaruit ik de sokken kan breien.
