Because everybody else was making them too:
done on 2 circulars, at once. Which actually posed some cognitive challenges.
Because I had made the yarn and it was hard to find the 'right' project for it:
no knitting challenges here. Just follow the pattern (from 'Knitting in the nordic tradition'). A little bit of anxiety at the end (will I have enough yarn???) but it worked out.

Wat weer een dotjes van slofjes en wat een kleurrijke muts!

Die slofjes, goh waar heb ik die eerder gezien? Nee, alle gekheid op een stokje, ze zijn en blijven prachtig.
Die muts, zucht, wat prachtige kleuren!
Leuke slofjes (heb ze ook al gemaakt) en gaaf mutsje. Wat is dat toch een fijn boek om te hebben....
I very much like the rainbow hues! Such an nice choice of colors and well blended!
