We're really weirdos to the rest of the world
About a week ago I attended a lecture from a researcher from Israel. She wore a beautiful, handknitted jumper. After the talk people walked up to her to ask things about the lecture - I went to her as well, and asked who had done the knitting. She just exploded in enthousiasm - about the jumper, about her knitting, about me being a knitter too, etc. Behind me were too scholars exchanging looks over these two researchers going on about knitting. It occurred to me that even though it is said that knitting is 'in', 'cool' and something not anymore related to grandmaw, for a lot of people it is not! We're knitting geeks - and proud of it!!!
Anyway. I am soon to post about my tentacle bag from Cat Bordhi's book, which I took up again. It looks most of all like a THING - I'll show you pictures on monday!
