Tagged....
I was tagged by Froukje so I have to describe 6 ways in which I am weird. Actually I think I could list many more than 6, but here you get the ones that came to me first.
1. The obvious one: I am bald, almost by choice, and have been for a year now. My own hair is very terribly thin, and I look so much better now! Obviously, I get some stares once in a while, but it doesn’t get to me as much as the stares at my hair used to do. So I am happy about it - and being bald and a knitter is actually a great combo (hats, hats, hats!)
2. I got my drivers licence at 39, which means I have had it for about a year and a half. And although I have been driving in Denmark, Holland, Germany, Belgium and France, having to drive sometimes still gives me the creeps. I am particularly not fond on parking,. I do not do parallel parking, parking in tight spots or parking houses. I rather walk half a mile extra, with groceries.
NOTE Actually I had a drivers\ licence before this, but I got it in the States, driving an automatic, which is nothing compared to driving a stick shift in Europe.
3. I go back and forth between being a lacto-ovo-vegetarian, and being a vegan. I think vegan food is more healthy, especially for the animals, but after a period of being vegan I start craving cheese. Btw I never try to convert people into vegetarianism. The other members in my family are carnivores.
4. I am really really good at walking up and down the stairways with a book on my head (w/o it falling down!). Also before I shaved my hair.
5. I would like to have a song ready for each occasion. Sometimes I practice this by breaking out in song while people talk to me, taking whatever they say as a keyword for the song * for example when people say goodbye to me I\d start to sing the beatles song \ You say goodbye, and I say hello.
6. I love animals, but I hate having pets. As far I can read on many blogs, this is not common for a knitter. It has, of course, also to do with the fact that we live in a not-so-big apartment. So we don\t have any. Luckily for the children, there is a dog, fish, a bird and a cat downstairs at our neighbours’.

i have to limit it to 6 oddities? That is going to be the really hard part! I'll do my best...
I had driving school in high school in the U.S. on an automatic (all they had at the school), and had to learn the stick on the side (all we had at home). It still bothers me when i have to drive an automatic, it just feels so uninvolved and detached and i feel like a spazz because i keep going for the clutch.
Heh :-)
I recognize the song-thing. I do it myself. (I can't really sing well....)
I share #5 with you! But only when I am relaxed.
